According to the Terms & Conditions to which every customer agrees when they become a customer of Virgin Media, any and all equipment that is supplied as part of your subscription remains the property of Virgin Media. This means that you cannot, under any circumstances, sell it on Ebay; even if they do not collect it from you on termination of your contract by either party.
Furthermore, it is also against the T&Cs to connect any equipment that you do not rent directly from Virgin Media. To do so would also make you liable to prosecution for "theft of service".
If you find any Virgin Media equipment for sale on Ebay then I'm sure that VM would appreciate your letting them know about it by calling their Fraud Prevention Line on 0800 096 7800.
